Dan noticed the face of his phone light up. He looked to see who was calling and saw it said Mystical Dave. He picked up the phone and answered it.
“Hello?”
“You finished with work yet?” Dave asked.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Just got done. Sorry about earlier but you know how it goes,” responded Dan.
“Not really. That’s the great thing about being self-employed,” Dave laughed.
“Weren’t you were playing cards tonight?” Dan questioned as he stood up and stretched. He had left Dave and one of his co-workers in the middle of dinner a few hours ago, claiming to have an emergency at work. In reality, he had come home and logged into one of his online role-playing games.
